Manchester City are ready to make £30million-rated winger Leroy Sane
Guardiola who takes over at City this summer, has hailed Sane as the most exciting young talent in German football.
City have been looking at Sane for months and the emergence of local rivals Manchester United as competitors for the 20-year-old is set to accelerate their efforts to sign him.
Sane, 20, scored his ninth goal of the season in Schalke's 4-1 win at Hoffenheim on Saturday in their final Bundesliga game this term.
Schalke are said to want £40m for Sane, who has also attracted interest from Barcelona, but his realistic market value is nearer £30m.
