Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his Anfield side before the summer transfer window comes to a close on Monday Evening and is increasingly confident his side will secure deals to sign Chelsea winger Victor Moses
Rodgers will use his contacts at Stamford Bridge to help seal a permanent deal to sign Nigerian international Moses for a fee of around £9m.
Rodgers maintains close relations with Chelsea following his spells as youth team and reserve team manager under the guidance of returning Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
Having sold Stewart Downing to West Ham and loaned out Moroccan Oussama Assaidi to Stoke City the Liverpool boss is keen to bring in Moses, who has struggled to make an impact following his move from Wigan Athletic to Chelsea last August.
The 22 year old made just 12 Premier League starts last term and may well feel a move to Liverpool could help re-ignite his career and the move very much adheres to the Merseyside club’s youthful transfer policy
