Marouane Chamakh has been given the chance to revive his Premier League career.
The Arsenal flop has agreed to join new boys Crystal Palace on a six month loan.
If he makes an impact under Palace manager Ian Holloway, then the move could be extended until the end of the season and made permanent if they avoid relegation.
The Morocco international has failed to make the anticipated impact at Arsenal after he arrived at The Emirates three years ago on a free from Bordeaux.
The 29-year-old scored only 14 times in 67 appearances before going out on loan to West Ham for the second half of last season.
