Juventus are expected to launch a raid on for Argentina striker Sergio Aguero to form a deadly forward line with Carlos Tevez.
The move would complete a sensational double swoop on Eastlands for Juve, after the Serie A giants sealed the signing of Tevez in a £12 million deal in June.
Aguero is understood to have until very recently been considered one of the first names on the team sheet at City.
However Juve are believed to have been alerted to Aguero's situation at the Manchester club after news emerged City are considering a move for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.
City have already signed Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo from Sevilla, for a fee in the region of £23m.
The Premier League runners-up have also completed a deal for Montenegrin forward Stevan Jovetic, acquired for £22m from Fiorentina of Italy.
Aguero is therefore understood to have expressed concerns his own starting spot in the side could be under threat.
Juve believe they can offer Aguero an attractive escape route out of England by giving him the chance to link-up with his former club-mate and Argentina international strike-partner Tevez.
