Chelsea will dismiss any offer from Bayern Munich or Barcelona for David Luiz, insisting he is a key part of Jose Mourinho’s plans.
Luiz has once again been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge with Bayern reportedly prepared to offer £40m while Barcelona are also keen. The Brazil international, who tweeted “London, home sweet home”, was one of six players who reported for pre-season training yesterday having had extended time off due to the Confederations Cup.
Mourinho welcomed them back and told them to focus on the club’s second pre-season tour of the summer to the USA, which they leave for tomorrow.
Mourinho has spoken of his admiration for Luiz and insists no players will be leaving Stamford Bridge.
