Forest boss Billy Davies has made Morgan one of his top summer targets and is keen to bring the 29-year-old back to the City Ground.
Morgan left Forest for Leicester in 2012, but has quickly established himself as a key member of Nigel Pearson’s side and is club captain at the King Power Stadium.
Forest saw their initial £1 million bid for Morgan snubbed last month, and are believed to have upped their offer to £1.5m – though the Foxes have again rejected their overtures.
