Christian Eriksen’s agent has said that the player would be willing to leave Ajax this summer for a new club where he could develop.
The 21 year old is one of the most talented young players in Europe and has been attracting interest from many top clubs for the past few years.
He previously committed to the Evedivise Champions but his agent, Martin Schoots, has now said that for the first time in his career, Eriksen would be willing to move to a new club.
“We still have contact with other clubs, but we never know if a transfer is really happening.
“We don’t want to speculate, and we always said that Christian has no urge to leave Ajax. This is the first summer that he’s open for a transfer.
“He will only leave if he can develop at a new club, otherwise he will stay at Ajax.”
Several Premier League clubs were thought to be tracking Eriksen, with Liverpool and Tottenham the most interested and the news that the midfielder could be available this summer may perk up their interest even more.
Borussia Dortmund were also thought to be interested in the midfielder, seeing the Dane as a replacement for Mario Gotze but they recently signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan, meaning they are unlikely to be interested in another play-maker.
